The power differences in factory LS1's are usually caused by small cam differences, exhaust manifolds, or in the case of older motors the LS1 intake. Your best bet is to head over to the Holden specific area of this site and ask them what you should start with to make some more power. I'm sure they'll suggest a cam swap, long tube headers, heads, and so on. And they'll know what vendors local are the best to go to.

This kinda relates.

In the High Performance Pontiac mag I get it has an article on a 04' GTO that gets a Magnacharger S/C.

They dyno the GTO before and after and the before shows 262 HP at 5,250 RPM and 286.2 lb-ft at 2,750 RPM.

My point is: for a 350 HP advertised power plant why did it dyno so low IMO?

Actually Monaros have a better engine and ls6 intake and better flowing heads. However, they are slower cause of less aerodynamics, De-tuned PCM (timing tables suck, a/f ratio run rich as stock), A4 3.07 gears longer than the f-body 3.23, and have a lot of drivetrain loss.

A cat-back full exhaust, headers, air intake, and a PCM Custom tune will give you approx. 60-70 rwhp. add some stick tires and a KAAZ centre LSD with an option 3.46/3.73/4.10 gear ratio and you'll be in the 12's in

Thanks
