Default What next?

Yes, I am the owner of a 98 Trans Am WS6. So far my mods include SLP LM, Kooks LT, ypipe, and a G2 lid. My car was dynoed at 338 rwhp and 347 tq. I am on a a fairly limited college budget, but I am looking to do another performance mod that is the best bang for the buck, any suggestions? thankkkss

I would say an underdrive pulley and/or ported throttle body next if money is real tight...if funds permit, 4.10 gears would show the most noticable seat of the pants gain.
LS6 intake swap as well if you can get one cheap enough.

I say gears as well. You are gonna feel the difference and have that extra jump out of the hole on your prey. I understand you don't gain power, but you are putting your current power to good use.

I would also say gears, you will feel it for sure.

However you did not say how you use the car? From what I've studied on this site if your going to be doing hard launches then that stock rear end is probably not going to hold up. If you decided on gears go to the regional forum for your area, introduce yourself and ask who in your area is the "Rear end guy". Gears can be just installed and they can be installed where they are quiet.

I can't believe how many people (even in the past day or so) who don't have

LS6 intake
Ported TB
UD pullies

ask what to do next for little money. But yes those three things are all good ideas. Gears AND drag radials wouldn't be bad either, but you kind of need both and that gets a little more expensive.

Also, don't neglect the suspension/chassis bracing too much. It's not as fun and exciting to work on but it needs SOME attention. SFC are always a wise move. If you are looking for maximum speed at the track, you could pull your front sway bar. Research it first though, it does affect your handling.

I suggest 4.10 gears especially with an M6. However they will do not good without traction. Maybe a $30 cutout just for race night. be careful because not everyone knows what they are doing when it comes to your rear end. Just get someone who knows how to install them and adjust or trim the Oring shims on the side of the carrier.

Sorry, my daddy doesn't pay for anything when it comes to me so that is not an option. I bought my car, I pay for my crazy expensive insurance, and I am trying to put myself through college. The reason why I can even get another mod is because I just got myself a new job bartending, so I can spare some extra money. Thanks though
