Default removing A/C ???

I'm trying to remove the A/C on the z. Anything special you have to do? I'd like to keep the heat for a little while yet. Can I just unbolt everything or what? Car is getting stripped one way or another today.
Thanks,
Nick

It's very simple, I actually did it with out even having to jack up the car. You will have to wrestle with the pump and condester alittle but it's no big deal. Try to keep the whole system intact, I managed to parted mine out for $350.

So nothing to cap off or re-route anywhere?
Also how do you relieve the pressure from the system?

Should just be at the accumulator right? Anywhere else that needs the pressure bled off before I go ripping into this thing?

So the way I'm looking at it as long as I don't remove the evaporator I should be alright. Is this right?

To relieve the pressure I just stuck a flat head screw driver in the valves, one on the back of the canister and one up twards the condenser. Just wrap a rag around valve while letting out the pressure to catch all the oil in the system as in comes out. You may choose to cap the connections at the HVAC box but I don't think it will hurt anything if you don't.

I made a thread about this in External Engine. Search there and you might find it.

Yeah I did search for it, it only came back with 5 results none of which helped. I just started tearing into it and figured it out as I went, got everything except the part in the heater core out. Didn't want to mess with that quite yet. But with taking the A/C out trimming some excess plastic and removing the front sway bar, wow what a difference. It's been quite a while since I've been to the track, so this weekend will be very intersting since I've done quite a bit to the car since then. Still going to put the flp headers on tonight and I'll be ready for T&T on thursday. Still running street tires though, don't have the ***** to run DR's quite yet. But I should be deep into the 12's maybe touching into the 11's.
Thanks,
Nick
