Default another proud LS1 owner

i recently got a 1998 Z28 M6. i used to be a mustang fan, but i largely underestimated the power of camaros. i was shopping for a 96-98 cobra mustang, but i'm glad i stuck with the camaro instead. anyways, from what i've read, a stock 98 Z28 will post a low 13 1/4 time. what are your opinions on the cheapest way to get into the mid-high 12's?

Lid, catback, and headers will get you there. Or a 50 shot.

There are a ton of combinations you could pick from though.

the previous owner has put on SLP loudmouth exhaust and a k&n, but as far as i can tell, the lid is stock. and i have no idea what kind of headers are on it, stock or aftermarket. i'll have to check that out.

If your header/manifolds look like this...

then you have stock manifolds... Anything else would be aftermarket..

i guess i've got stock exhaust manifolds. time to go spend some money on headers and a lid oh well, it will be worth it!
