Will i make mid-11's
wondering if i'll make mid-11's with this setup
2000 ws6-m6-pacesetter lt's, 18" sweet thunder true duals out the back (dr.gas x), bg-ram air, mti lid, jantzer throttle body, asp underdrive pulley, ls6 intake, fms f-13 cam (230"/232" .595"/.585" 112LSA), patriot stage 2 "ls6" heads finished by ffhp, bmr adj. ph bar, bmr relocation brackets, bmr control arms, stock ws6 wheels widened 11" w/ 315 gs-d3's, stock clutch, stock rear
i know i'll need a new clutch (spec stg. 3) and rear (strange 12-bolt with 4.10's)but will i be able to make mid 11's on these street tires and still be able to have my rear last...i just need to make 1 track run and then the rest would be random driving around town...i can't afford to buy a new rear after the heads/cam...right away at least...it may be up to half a year...
with the clutch, rear and some 26x10.5x16 tires what times should i be getting...i imagine i'll make around 450rwhp
edit: will i need to do upgrades to my fuel system...what should i do...i have a slight chance of going forced induction..just depends on how this car feels once i have the power and also if i can come up with the money...i'll prolly have to spend it on other things i.e. house

i doubt it. you need a low1.6 60' and i wouldnt even try try that on a 10 bolt unless you dont care about breaking it. ive pulled 1.7's with my stock 10 bolt and trapped 119.77. i know with that mph id hit mid 11's with a 1.60 60'

Its hard to say with our rears. I know a guy who broke his rear with the car still stock and another guy who is pushing around 600rwhp and his is still fine.
I would think you would be able to make mid 11s with those mods if you can hook pretty good. jmo

well...it's ok if i don't make it...(i'd rather be able to keep my 10-bolt until i can buy a 12 bolt..instead of having an 11sec slip and a broke 10-bolt) so if i'm only making low 12's i'll still be quick from a roll on the street (right>) i may not even go to the track until i get the rear if i'm going to have a high chance of breaking it...it won't break with shifts or punching the gas though will it?

I am in the same position, but a little behind you. I want to get heads/cam/bolt on's/suspension, and I won't be able to afford a rear end for a while. It will probably be a year before I can get the heads/cam since I still have to buy headers, ported TB, either catback or duals out back, and HP Tuners.
I wouldn't even mess with taking your combo to the strip until you have a new rear end. It's not worth the risk...just hope it lasts on the street
With a new rear though, I would think even with no weight reduction you could go 11.50's pretty easy.

good...because i'm not planning on weight reduction this is a 100% daily driver...driven everyday to school/work so prolly 25-50 miles per day average...so i'll be fine if i don't launch it..but i can shift hard? i'm still a little confused cause i'll be fine slipping it at 1500 rpms if i were needing to be somewhere fast if i can do that

I don't think there is any reason why you couldn't go 11's with that setup as long as it's properly tuned. You'll definitly need 4.10's (wheither it be in a 12 bolt or a 10 bolt) and probably some suspension. You'll also at least need to run drag radials. I don't know how deep into the 11's you could go, but you should be able to break the 11.99 barrier and trap near 120 if you're not afraid to beat your car.

But if you don't mind, what made you decide on the FFHP ported LS6 style heads?

the main thing i want to know is CAN I SURVIVE WITH 315 GS-D3'S STREET TIRES if i keep these tires will i break the rear...now drag radials or slicks until the 12-bolt...so i just want to know if it will hold up with soft launches (if any) and hard, fast, shifting...
