Default boost, compression....etc

I have a 99 firebird formula, and recently bought a d-1sc serpentine kit, 42 lb fuel injectors, and a holley fuel pump. Everything is stock on my car, just wondering how much boost i could run on it, what compression ratio is best and how to go about getting it there

well stock CR is 10.1, if you plan for different heads or ristons you can make it whatever you want.

you are limited on boost...once you get rods and pistons though you can run 1000hp...the stock crank seems to work quite well...at least for harlan

I'm going to go against the grain and say you can safely go 8 lbs of boost at the factory compression level. Just make sure you get a good tune and run good gas. Bolt on a set of 6.0 heads and you can run even more.

With a good tune and high quality 93 octane gas i bet it would a while. It wouldn't be the kind of combination you could beat on all the time. Some on this site have proven the stock bottom end can handle a lot of stress if the tune is right. 01-Z is an excellent example of this.
