Default Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm looking to buy a Transam. I found this one for 5,000 dollars.

Has about 80,000 miles it is a 1996.

Here is what it comes with

STOCK OPTIONS

-LT1 350 engine

-4 speed automatic transmission

-removable t-top roof

-10 speaker stereo system

-power everything

-4 wheel disc brakes

UPGRADES

-white face gauges from suncoast creations

-tinted windows

-the real predetor hood w/ functional ram air from suncoast ($1200)

-17" WS6 five star rims

-Eibach sportline lowering springs

-SLP shortie headers

-custom y-pipe that eliminates the muffler and keeps both exhaust tips

-2 brand new front tires and the rear tires are in great shape

-3:73 moser gear

- Hypertech Power Programmer III

-Hypertech 160 degree thermostat

-throttle body by-pass kit

-Hypertech underdrive crank pulley

-Hypertech overdrive alternator pulley

-hyper-white headlights

-custom floormats

-fitted car cover

-ram air box with big K&N filter

Problems with car as it stands:

-the drivers side window came off track i think ...will not roll up and down, and the tint has a tear in it

-when the headlights are turned off and flip down the passenger side light is noisy but works fine

-i just put the stock cd player back in and it is in theft-lock mode and needs to be set......last time the dealership did it for me for free

-a/c need to be charged......it was drained during the header installation and i never charged it back up

Like I said in beginning he is asking 5,000. I know your shouldn't buy modded cars and so on. EBAY Protects you up to 20,000.

Could I get some advice If I should bid or if I should pass.

I have no actual knowledge in cars. I know what it takes to maek them work I know where what is. No idea how to change that is where.

I hope that makes since.

looks good to me, fixing the window is no problem, and the tint can be redone. the ac is easy to recharge. and there's alot of posts on how to fix the headlight motor, and the cd player can be fixed at a dealer. but you should always be weary about buyng a car without seeing it in person first. look for a thread here called 'I GOT SCREWED' but this could be a totally diff case.

Default car

Personally I would steer clear of an already modded car. you have no clue what the car has been through. Also, I got my 98 z28 with z06 wheels and corsa exsaust, leather, ttops, 12 disc changer for 9500. So for a lil more money you could bump up to Ls1. But that is just my 2 cents. Good luck with what you choose!

Yea I read that thread hehe. Scary. I'm not a millionair either but I got some money to spend. And if it wasn't for FALCONSKATERJOHN he turned me to the Birds... I am still a Mustang guy too... I have a 1968 that is in shop getting a new engine put in. But anyway I know from reading Light and windows are easy, Recharcing the AC is no problem at all, and CD player prolly get changed anyway.

There is a dent in the rear by the drivers side tire. Not big but I think a "pop-a-dent" thing will take that out.

I doubt that it will stay at 5000. It will probably get some bids and it will go up a little. I wouldn't get it thought because it's so modded.

Hrmmm, What am I looking for... LoL. Speed, low cost, Blue/black color. I prefer fabric seats to leather. I like the T-tops.

Like I said I don't know TOO much about cars still learning (learn alot from reading stuff here).

I love the look of the T/As so thats why I like the blue one. You can always make stuff faster once you own it heh.

Prefer auto. If you have an e-mail address or aim/icq/yahoo this would be easier and not spam the boards.

throw a little more cash at a car and get a 98 or 99 LS1 car. and IMO buying modded cars is probably a bad idea.
