Default gas mileage

just wondering how many miles per gallon or miles per tank yall get for a manual, and how you drive under normal conditions (i.e. what RPM's yall shift at)

i thought that i was just driving a lot recently, but i finally set the trip odometer to figure out how many mpg i was getting and it was depressing..like 140 miles to a tank.. i think im driving too fast/shifting at 2500, but iv started shifting at 1500 and trying to drive more conservatively if im not racing or screwing around

Usual week I get 260 miles, and that's with a fairly heavy right foot

Well I have an A4 so maybe it doesnt apply as much but I typically get about 260 miles per tank w/ a fair amount of screwing around and 50/50 city / hwy miles. Although I do agree that the second half of the tank tends to (Seem at least) go faster than the first half. My last tank averaged about 23.4 mpg

... Well I am pretty gentle on the gas around town... I only really play around on the highway I suppose that makes a little bit of a difference. But I try to keep my foot out of it ALOT which will probably only last till I get used to the car

Call me a miser, but I get at least 300 miles every tank. I usually shift at 1500 around town and I go to 4th even when CAGS doesn't make me. On the freeway it's a different story though. But since I'm in California with higher gas prices, I need to do this. I filled up yesterday at 2.57 per gallon.

I don't know what i get, cause it's still my first tank of gas. But i'm a bit over 1/4 tank and i have ~200 miles. I figure i'm getting ~22mpg. I shift around 2500 when i'm just cruising.

Last weekend I recorded 26-27mpg in mine as it sits... thats with my blower cam installed (blower not on yet) and without tuning on that cam.

Last time I recorded it was with the TR224 cam and without tune, 28mpg.... 399rwhp.

These are freeway miles of course... in town I dont generally care about economy.

Uhm... Why might I be getting about 12mpg? someone was saying bad o2's? I do have the SES light and some error codes and my uncle was saying he thinks that it's the O2 sensors; can that do that?
