Default All these times with Mods What will I run Bone Stock

I looked for times all over this place. Even in the full LS1 & Internet Acronyms - Defined. So I had to join to ask one question lol.
I bought A 01 "Non ram air LS1" Trans Am With the T tops and dark Blue. I think 27k on it, or 28 it was? They just called. And told me it will be in Tomorrow.

Does anyone have any idea, or even an estimat. To what a stock non RAM Air LS1 01 TA 0-60 times and 1/4 times would be. Im guessing 14 something??

Oh and it an automatic. My first Automatic. But it had to be because I messed up my left knee in motocross. And I cant work the clutch real good anymore. That's part of the reason I had to get another car. I had 02 Eclipse GT. 5 speed. But I just cant work the clutch for 20 mile drives without my knee killing. And its only getting worse as I get older.
But like I said I see all these times with intakes, and mods. But I have no clue what this LS1 without RAM air can do stock? Im not looking for a rocket. But I hope I will have some decent power under my hood. Anyway if I dont reply I will at least look at it to see if anyone knows, so a thanks for now for anyone who answers.

supposedly they run 13.5s stock but if you dont know how to launch it and depending on your tires you are probably looking at something more like low to mid 14s

14 sounds good to me. Ill be vary happy with that. I may work on it some later. But for now, I have a move to worry about. And what to do about my knee "If I need to go under the knife " And if I will be able to still ride the bikes somehow. I still do. I just lift my left leg on landings a tad. But it hurts bad still to do so. And if its an even 14 or low 14. I would be vary happy. But I wont know because we have no strip. So when I get the car tomorrow "CARMAX" it was sent in. I least can give someone an estimate if they ask. They already gave me my trade in on my eclipse and did my credit report and all. I had to wait 2 weeks for this thing.

14's?? Thats horrible for a stock LS1 unless you are in the mountains or some elevation. These cars run low 13's bone stock, as long as you are not high up in elevation.

id say low 14, although a buddy of mine ran a 13.4 in his stock 02 z28. Anything is possible with the right driver and right tires!

Either way low 14 or high 13 would be good enough for me now. That time just kills my Eclipse GT. And those times seem to be around the 04 03 GT Stang times "not the mach or Cobra, just the GT." If so, I'll be happy as he((

13.4@104 w/ a cutout, and free mods in a 2000 Z/28 auto in 75* weather.

If you are around sea level and can't run faster than a 13.6 in a LS1 auto, sell it!!!

For the most part you should be killing GT's as many 99+ GT's are running 13.8 stock!!! I am telling you 14's is fvcking horrible for a LS1 in decent weather and near sea level.

I agree 14's is unacceptable. If you cant break 14.0 at close to sea level something is wrong.

Oh I have not run it yet, I just did not know. And was woundering I have ran cars before on the strip. Before my dad died, he draged, heck since, well since I can remember. Than we moved here when he got cancer. So I have ran 1/4's before. I ran his 69 Chevy with a 454 in it and a 3 shift hurtz in it. It ran like 10 something. I forget I was in my early 20's then. Late teens. I use to be able to beat his times on a good day in the same car. But I was always decent at getting hole shots in motocross too. Not sure if that had anything to do with it. In motocoss I use to roll back a tad on the gate thow. And when the 30 board was gone. I would be back farther from the gate than others. And would just roll a tad bit up just slipping the cluth out a little, and a little rev. And bamm it drops and your already got a tad bit of roll. And you just let it go. But on clay you have to feather it all the way threw the stait, or youll just spin forever. In sand you can be more aggresive. But you cant do that with the lights at the drag strip. Once it gets staged "those little things that read your tires" you cant move.

Ahh babbiling But yea I have run. But not this car yet. And I had no clue on what it ran stock. I was just woundering. I would be happy with 14, becuase im really not out to race it so much. But if it can run a good 13, so be it. All the better.

Ok thats way to big it's not that big on my web page???? Ill get pics of the car and make a good one latter. And use it for a sig, amost all in blue even my YZ

If my LS1 didn't run at least low to mid 13's I would drive it off a cliff. Weather and altitude considered of course. Seriously though, my 02 WS6 stock except for a lid went 12.992@108.96 with a 2.050 60ft on street tires. Before that pass I was running 13.0s and some 13.1s, I just kept getting faster with it. Actually had a 12.8xx pass in the bag and missed a gear.

My 01 pewter A4 car went a best of 8.16 1/8th with a 1.75 60ft. Mods were no cats, flowmaster muffler in place of stock one, K&N filter, lid, and HPPIII. It only ran this time ONCE though, I don't know how I pulled off that 60ft on that run. Most of the time the car ran 8.40s on street tires, and some occasional high 8.20s.

Take it to the track and find out, let us know and good luck!!!

My car ran a best of 13.4 bone stock and you should smoke the GTs, most Mack1s and evan some cobras depending on the year

Automatic T/A... It will run 13.4-13.6 if your tires aren't bald.
