My Formula was in Benbrook, Texas, and my WS6 was in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin....

Formula = ~2200 miles

WS6 = ~1960 miles.

i looked for around a month on the net, searching the chevrolet web inventory. finally found one in Stow, Ohio. i live in knoxville, Tn. it was the perfect car, the right options and the right color. i think that the trip took around 8 hours one way, but it was worth it. when i got to the dealer there was the car sitting in the show room with my name literally one it. well worth the trip in my opinion.

I live in San Diego California, and I found my ride in Detroit! Can't complain though, it was worth it.

I went about one mile to get my 'bird back in December '99. I lived really close to the dealership.

Two month search, found a great deal outside of Houston TX. In fact, in my search I found more well-kept Firebirds in the state of TX.

Houston TX to Riverside CA = 1500 miles

Furthest Ive ever been on car hunt was from three hours west of Chicago, all the way to the east cost ( practically beach front ) for a 1986 black Iroc with 30,000 original miles on it. When we got there, the car had a 'new' tear in the back bumper, door dings, and the int smelled musty. We ended up getting the car anyways ( paid 7500 for it three or four years ago... I know, ripped off ) Drove it home. Well, almost lol. In Indianapolis the fuel pump went out. Pep boys charged us upwards of 1000 bucks to change the fuel pump the way we wanted it done ( everything dropped, then change, the reinstall ) instead of just cutting away the sheet metal above the tank and then welding it back together. Then we were on our marry way back home. The car was a pos ( stored for 8 years with gas in the tank and then they tried to start it, flushing 17 different kind of nasty through the whole fuel system ) it was the second pos 1986 Iroc we've had.. First one was brand new in 1986, was in and out of the shop for the first 99k miles, then sold it before the warranty went out. We ended up selling it to two homo-sexual Americans from Texas for 8k. We did okay I guess.

Both my f-bodies I have owned I have traveled to get. My 94 Z28 I traveled ~1000 miles round trip and I trailered that car home. My 99 T/A was about 850 miles round trip, and I drove that one home. And my dads 69 Camaro SS was about 1000 miles round trip and his 70 Chevelle SS was about 2,200 miles round trip, both of these cars trailered home. So basically we have gone on a road trip 4 of the 5 last summers
