My car was purchased in February of 04 in Seattle, WA, and it sat at my dad's apartment complex for a month until I flew up there to meet him. We packed our bags in the back of the car, hit the road, and drove about 1800 miles back to Douglas, Arizona.

I drove 40 miles. I found an ad in the auto trader that "seemed too good to be true"... It was a 98 Z/28 M6 with 44K with LT1??? and listed at Kelly's Blue Book value. The pic in the ad was poorly done and made the car look "fugly" compared to the rest of the cars on the autotrader. There were 98 m6 with double the mileage selling for as much as 3-4K more than this car.

I called for the heck of it. Turned out the car was gorgeous. Garage stored during winter, 1 owner, completely stock LS1 M6. Clean record on carfax and gm warranty. Typo in ad. Can't blame a subaru/suzuki dealership to know about f-bodies heh.

In the end I got it for 1k less than KBB's price.

Knoxville has a Carmax, so I was checking most everyday...when the 02 Vert w/11,000 miles appeared I drove cross town and landed her...

Paid Carmax to ship another car in from Maryland...

I'd probably drive up to 300 miles for the right car...

89 miles. From San Bernardino to Sylmar.
Looking for a WS6 came back with a low mile, perfect condition T/A.
Couldn't pass it up.

Default How far for an LS1?

I flew 8 hours from Belgium to the US for mine. Long distance most headaches award???

I will have a $1200 shipping bill to get it back by the time it is all done.

But......a bright red hurst shifted M6 2000 Z28 in europe? Priceless!

I went about 300 miles to get mine. It was about a 4 hour trip each way but it was worth it. I wouldn't trade my hawk for anything.

I walked a whole 30 feet to get mine .

Since I worked for the dealership I bought it from it was quite easy. I passed up 2 black ls1 SSs to get my 2000 Z28 because it was much cheaper and only had 24k miles on it after 5 years. Couldn't pass it up.
