Default How much power can the LS1 and m6 handle?

I know it probably been asked or known, but I am a newb and searched and find nothing. I am looking at buying a cammed '99 Z28 m6 wit h62k miles and its probablly making atleast 400rwhp or close. I know the rear 10 bolt is a weak link, but what #s are generally considered the max for the engine and tranny?

The cars mods:

Tsp 233/239 Cam
Tsp mail order tune
PRC dual valve spring kit
Tsp hardened push rods
ls6 intake
Tsp ported ls6 oil pump
Rollmaster double timing chain
Asp underdrive pulley
160* thermostat
Tsp Lid
Pacesetter long tubes
Custom true dual exhaust with off-road x-pipe, bullet race mufflers
Home ported throttle body
Stock Hurst shifter with Lou's short stick

Also, are cammed cars less reliable than if the were stock? I mean I got a guy saying they are less reliable and put just as much wear as a S/C would pout on the engine?

its power first.

the rearend is the weak link, and if the clutch is stock, that is too (doubt it with that many miles and power though)

its not less reliable, just drives different than a stock car.

There is nothing unreliable about a cammed car...
If they were unreliable, I don't think 3/4 of the people would cams would even consider having one...
The setup on that car sounds pretty sweet to me.

So your saying this setup above (once I get her dyno tuned) should be more reliable than say an LS1 running 6-8psi? Or are you guys saying its exactly as reliable as stock, just its gonna run/idel different? Cause the later is what I've always though, just some folks are making me second guess if this car is still reliable. (I've had issues with S/C Mustang before and don't want to go through that again)

Ohh he says it surges some at low rpms, but thats from the crapy mail order tune, I'll plan to have it dyno tuned with two weeks of owning it.

Mine surges too. Not really a big deal.

If you have a good tune your car should be fine and since your a m6 gas mileage should not hurt you unless you have a lead foot.

With a good driver is this an 11 sec. 1/4 mile car?

Also thanks for the help, wasn't sure what I was getting myself into at first. I want it to be reliable.

its very reliable, just realize that things break on stock cars when they are driven though, and that won't change with or without a cam. If you take care of it, and you aren't always romping on it, you will be good to go. and yeah, the 10 bolt is the weak link...

I'd say it is more reliable than a boosted car running 6-8psi
