M6 and Gas Mileage???
I still haven't got my ls1 yet but i was wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys get with the M6? I drive around 50 miles a day 7 days a week so i want to kind of ballpark what its going to cost me.

I get 18/28 when I drive carefully for best mileage. But this is only after I replaced the factory junk plugs so I could put it in 5th @ 30, 6th @ 40. Before plug change, engine couldn't go into OD gears that low. I read on some threads where M6 guys don't go into 6th til around 70 and I have to wonder WTF?

I was getting 30 MPG at a 75-80 cruise from colordao to chicago. I was pretty much exactly there with my buddies low mileage 00 caddy eldorado. These cars can knock down some great mileage numbers if your just drinving normally!
about 240 miles till i hit the half way mark on the gas gauge then we stopped for gas. 8 Gallons to go from 1/2 mark to full, and when i got it down to 1/4 it took 12 gallons, im very impressed with the gas gauge on these 99+ cars. The older metal tanks stayed at full to about 8 gallons, then droped to 1/4 in about 200 minutes of driving, then sat there for a while then nose dive to red, it was rediculous lol.

i like how people dont drive the living **** outta these cars, and take care of them. Like my dad always says "everyone knows ur car is fast, you dont always have to prove it, and wats the point of having such a beautiful car when you drive so fast and no one can ever see it??"

I usually drive between 1k-1.5k rpms and have no problem holding up traffic or with people flying around me cause I go to slow.

I average about 19-22mpg with about 50/50 hwy/city driving...best I got was 32mpg the day I bought the car on a 400+ mile trip in which 350 was interstate with the cruise set at 70mph. Worst I ever got was last weekend and a LOT of spirited driving and some video making of 0-100 runs and some racing with my buddy I ended up with 16mpg...I drive about 130 miles one way to and from school on weekends that I end up going home and I ussually avearage about 24-27 mpg on my trips, which include some passing and stop and go traffic etc.. 320+ hp and 25-32mpg lol...I LOVE MY M6!!!

I get 15 MPG with pure city driving, but I always have fun with her around town, and I never use the skip shift feature. On the free way in 6th gear at 75 mph I consistently get 31 MPG.
