LS1 vs. Trans Am
My favorite car is a Pontiac Firebird, has been since I was 8. I was just wondering if there is any big difference between an LS1 and a Trans Am when looking to buy a car?

Litemup02's right, the LS1 cam in the '98-'02 TA's, '98-'02 Firebird's had a 3.8L V6, the '93-'97 TA's had an LT1 and the '93-'97 Firebird's had a 3.4L V6. Hope this clears up some of your confusion.

Firebird Formula --------------- 5.7L V8 LS1
Firebird Formula WS6 ---------- 5.7L V8 LS1
Firebird Formula Firehawk ------ 5.7L V8 LS1
Firebird Trans Am ------------- 5.7L V8 LS1
Firebird Trans Am WS6 -------- 5.7L V8 LS1
Firebird Trans Am Firehawk ---- 5.7L V8 LS1
Notes:
* Not all models were offered all years.
* Formula looks like the V6 firebird but has the drivetrain and suspension of the V8 Trans Am. The Formula could also be optioned up like a Trans Am.
