How much money do you really wanna spend? If I were you, I would look at an LS6 intake and at least a Lid.

If you're looking for straight up best bang for buck, thats probably gonna be the juice.

then why blower it? turbo FTW!

if you're an auto, get a stall.

if you're an M6, get gears.

other than that, at this point though, it sounds like a cam is the next step for parts.

or if you don't want to mess with the engine (which i doubt since you mentioned a cam up there), seriously man, get a tune! that's one of the best bang for the buck mods out there and it's seemingly always overlooked!

First thing needed is a budget to find out what would be the best route

BLOWER....i love it...just get to the point....seriously go for the ls6 and a tune.,..dont get crazy about a loop on a cam...just remember the bigger you go the more problems you can have...but a cams not a bad idea....just remember a tune is needed for all that

LSA = Lope, not lift. Throw something in there with a 110lsa and she'll rumble.

ok guys thanx for the input but about the ls6 intake is that going to be better than a F.A.S.T intake of like a weiand b/c i was looking into those also and also quik question i've seen a lingenfelter gt1-1 camshaft on ebay its a .631lift what you guys think about that?? b/c i need a cam that will pull on top end bc autos feel like they are struggling after bout 80MPH but i also still have stock gear. i just got a 100 shot on there now and now have a traction problem lol. i ran an 8.74 sec in the 1/8 with just bfg drag radials stock and now with the mods ive got what ya'll think she will run? my buget is about $1000

I think you should go for .700+ lift, more lift means more power man.

I was joking. More lift, by no means, mean more power. Picking a camshaft is a very time consuming process, lots of stuff to read. You can go nuts and get a t-rex, make tons of power on the top end, but have less-than stellar driving habits. You can get something a little smaller (230ish duration), still make great power, but have a little better street manners. Lots of larger cams won't even fit in a stock LSx because the valves would hit the pistons.

When people say "it pulls on the top end", they might not mean "high speed". They could be referring to "high RPM's", which is the norm. My car pulls hard on the top end, but I'm talking about 5000+ rpms.

The #1 thing that would make your car faster right now is a stall converter. With a 3500 or so stall, you'll be out in front of alot of 6-speed cars. You can get an LS6 used or from our sponsors. If you have a grand to play with, throw in a stall and LS6 intake to help breath up top a little better.

what 'chu talkin' 'bout willis? a stall will set him back a grand as it is if he gets it professionally installed, especially if he goes yank or vig (which would be my choice). not to mention a shift kit is a good idea after a stall and a tune wouldn't hurt. we're talking a 'lil over a grand here, the reason why i don't have a stall yet
