Stall Recommendation (MS4 & bolt ons)???
I have a 1999 Camaro Z28 with bolt ons (MS4 cam, Pace Setter LT headers, cat-less y-pipe, Mac catback, LS6 intake, lid, K&N filter, 85mm MAF, ported TB, SLP 160 thermo & ASP pulleys). I just bought a Vigilante torque converter with a 3,200 stall. What is the optimal stall for this setup with my MS4? Thank you,

VIG underrates their stall speed a little bit so the 3200 is more like a 3500. With 3.73's it should be fine for a DD. With sticky tires, high 11's should'nt be too hard to do with that combo. If you really want to take advantage of the MS4's power curve though, get a 4000+ stall.

I agree with the 4000 stall speed. Particularly if you plan on getting 3.73s. The 3.73s will considerably tighten up street feel, and help to keep a good daily driver feel. Our experiences with the ms4 cam (excellent choice btw) have shown that it really loves stall range in the 4000 + area, but with the daily driver I would stay with the 4000. Good street feel with the 3.73s and enough stall to take full advantage of the cam's powerband.

I would think about a 4K. But then again I have a M6. LOL. My buddy has a yark 4K. on a stock cam with 4.10's and it is pretty awsome. I could only imagine what it would do with a fat daddy cam.
BTW I'm looking at a cam size just like the MS4 with a killer set of heads to boot.
