Default which Car?

Hey y'all, i am new to the site and i have some questions. I am a new driver and i was wondering which car would be the best for me. I really dont know whether or not to get an ls1 or an lt1. Trans am or Camaro? I would prefer a WS6 or SS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for helpin' a noob

Thanks for the tips. I might go with the LS1 WS6. I can see it now... "who's the kid with that sexy T/A?" There's a kid at my school with an LT1 Firehawk. Any one know the numbers on those?

I think they're rated at 305 maybe 315? Someone will correct that if I am wrong. Either way an LS1 with will out dyno it and if driven properly will out-muscle it. So I would go with the LS1 T/A hands down.

Get an 03 Cobra Personal I'd perfer the WS6 to the SS, but definitely go with the LS1. LS1 10+ times greater then the LT1 Head/cam ls1's are getting closer to the 500rwhp mark.

LS1 WS6, get a 6-speed. More fun, and way better mpg. Not to mention no dead-speeds to run from and they are a bit more on the dyno and at the strip (IF YOU CAN DRIVE!).

Get an 01-02 if you can. They have better lifters(supposedly), clutches, clutch hydraulics, intakes, heads, oil-pumps, valve-cover/coil-pack setup. and tighter main clearances, rod-bolts.

First of all the LS1 is a must!

Second:

Ws6 has a more aggressive front end
SS has a more aggressive rear end

Both are killer but i like the WS6, even tho the SS is REALLY growing on me.

The trade-off are plastic lenses that yellow and have the clearcoat come off unless you garage the car.

Thanks for all the replies. I dont mind either car. The TA is definatley growing on me. The Camaro does have the sleek simplicity of a muscle car. The TA has a lot of appearance goodies. Does all this weight add up? The car would be parked outside all day in the school lot. I do hate those yellowed headlights. A pair of smoked lights would do the trick though.

Personal first choice is the SS, always been a camaro fan before a firebird one. But if i was to buy another it would definitely be an ls1 firehawk.
