electronic supercharger???
I just bought my 02 camaro z28 about a month ago and took it to the track, while waiting in line while some dumba** guy with his new street bike took out one of the starting timers(didn't look like he new what he was doing and and launched his bike ghost rider sytle about 30 feet, it was pretty crazy) but anyways i herd some guy in a mustang talkin about some electric super charger so i looked it up and found it on a couple of sites but also ebay, the one off ebay is only $160 and claims to give you like 2 psi, i think they say anywhere from 15 to 50 horses, but the way i figure it the possible gain with the minimal of loss is probably worth it, what do you guys think? heres the page: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super...QQcmdZViewItem

I call BS on that b/c obviously that guy has NO IDEA what the hell hes talkin about, if you look he has the same on listed for a camaro and cavalier and does not specify any types of engines, and seems to use the words turbo and supercharger interchangable, and although they do the same thing the way they work is different. If it actually did the gains he said it did he could get more then 150 for them, I you want some ricer bling then go buy it but I could think of alot better things to not waste 150 bux on

there is a legit one, but its VERy costly. im not familar with it because i called BS on it, but some guys have sworn by it. the ones on ebay are just little electric motors and fans.
in an ideal situation it can be done, but the motor would draw so much current that youd need a second alternator and then it defeats the purpose of going electric versus with a mechanical supercharger.

I have seen some dyno results on 4-cylinder cars with gains around 5-11rwhp.
I am under the impression that they would work well with a smaller displacement engine, but lack the mass moving ability to provide an improvement for V-8's.

i have seen dyno videos of a car being dynoed normally. then the guys stuck a leaf blower in the intake and re dynoed it and it gained like 11whp. so if you can manage to get a leafblower to stay udner your hood i say go for it. but i call BS on those elctric superchargers. just another scam like the turbonator you stick in your intake tubing which mixes teh air and gas together better. WRONG

the expensive one is called eram the video looks cool the guy holds it in the air connects the wires to a battery and it takes off ,but purchasing this cwould be so stupid.the ebay junk is a boat builge fan mounted on a peice of pvc pipe.i seen a dyno on one of these on a honda it made a whopping 97fwhp before and 90 hp after its actualy a restriction.

backpack leaf blower ive heard of other electric super chargers that work for jeep engines, last 15 minutes, need extra batteries for them, they have a diode so they put no extra load on the alternator when u fire them up...
