Whats A Cat Back Exhaust System? I Know What It Looks Like But, What Does It Mean Exactly?

completes the rest of the exhaust system after where the Cats are or should be on a stock car or F-body. Usually come in 3" in diameter piping for our cars, and with one muffler behind the rear axle. Typically has dual exits out the back.

For our cars it would be more like intermediate pipe back since the cats are off the headers.

Funny you say that. When I was putting on my cat back, I had a buddy helping me. He was working on the front and I was on the back. He was taking the Y pipe off and I asked him what he was doing. And he said "You said it was a cat back system."
