Don't bother. Just use a quality oil & filter.

If your using GC and a good filter, why on earth are you worried about your oil. Seems to me you got that well under control.

Click on the link I posted. Aerated oil is not good for bearing life.

Resist the urge to do more. Good quality oil at reasonable oil change intervals is the best you can do for your motor.

Most oil additives are merely snake oil. The worst (Slick50) can kill by the little teflon bits clogging up the oil filter and coming out of suspension in tiny oil galleries to clog them up.

Many oil additives only increase the viscosity. You can do that cheaper and more safely by simply using a thicker oil. Other additives have been proven ineffective in courts of law and have had to change their advertising copy by removing many of the claims they made for their products. Search the web thoroughly, both on additives in general and for specific products, before ever buying anything.

Though GC is widely know as the oil that makes most LS1s the most happy (as proven by many used oil analysis), each driver/engine/use profile is different. GC is expensive and hard to find, thus making it not an option to many. But that's ok. There are many oils that that work just fine in LS1s. I had good luck with Mobil1 5w-40 Truck & SUV, which is now available as Mobil1 5w-40 Turbo Diesel (and is still available as Delvac1).

Presently, I will doing a round of Auto-RX (ARX) and trying out some different oil in my LS1 to try out some different ideas. The inside of my valve covers shows a great deal of varnish that I'd like to get rid of. I've been using ARX in my V10 truck with great success and the varnish is all but gone.
