Need advice on my LS1 I just bought a 99 firebird and took the motor out. The car hit a tree really hard. The oil and transm,ission fluid were all ok. What should I have done to the m otor b4 I install it in my car?

Well the first thing you need to do is start coming to this site daily. While the motor is out its a good time to pull of the heads and at least check everything out. Maybe change valvesprings at least if its a high mileage car

new guy here. iam not sure if iam in place here or not. but i sure could use some help. i want to buy a 5.3 vortec engine from a wrecked truck. but dont know if it will bolt up to older chevy trans any help please. thank you
