Default Help! supercharger ??'s 2000 gmc 5.3

I'm looking to charge my 2000 gmc sierra - anyone have info on what superchargers work well? Any bad superchargers out there? Will they work with my other mods? Banks headers and full exhaust - hi flow cats - bbk throttle body.... HELP - I need to get one in the truck soon for a race coming up -

Thanks!

i don't know of any superchargers for that truck, but i just want to let you know you shouldn't rush into buying a supercharger. you should do a lot of research as there are many different kinds and all may not suite your needs. rushing into a purchase as large and in-depth as this will almost certainly result in you making a mistake, and you don't want to make a $5,000+ mistake, trust me. and let's not even forget the fuel system and driveline components that should be done with a supercharger install. it's not worth it to win some stupid race. if you need quick power, get nitrous.

wiple makes a nice twin screw setup for 5.3. I saw one on racingjunk.com for $2,200 used.

But like the guy before me stated, dont rush into something without doing your homework first.

I would look into a roots type of charger or twin screw. They look much nicer, make gobs of power downlow and sound better than any other type could. Lots of brands out there, some better than others.

A lot of people are very happy with their Magnuson/Radix superchargers on the 5.3 powered trucks! I also have a special direct port nitrous plate for Magnuson superchargers that you may be interested in.
Give me a call and I would be happy to answer some questions for you,
Ed
