Royal Purple Purple Ice
Royal Purple Radiator Coolant Additive:
"Cool as Ice- Keeping it cool is one of the keys, and Purple Ice is the king of cool. Purple Ice is formulated to reduce the surface temperature of the coolant up to 30"
Is there any truth to Royal purples statement of reducing coolant temps by 30 degrees and to prevent corosion? Will it be harmful in the long run to my coolant system?

I here it works about the same as Redline water wetter.
I have used water wetter in my blown mustang and it doe's work.
I saw about a 5 degree decrease in water temp.
Of course i had a auto meter temp gauge also.

I watched Horsepower TV on Spike and they added royal purle oil and trans fluid and gear oil and coolant additive to a stock 6 speed LS1 SS and it added about 8 horses I think they spent about $150. That stuff works and it's been proven on LS1's.

Maybe 30 degrees in conjunction with a 160 thermo and an electric water pump . If its been proven, why not? These motors tend to run hot. Every little bit helps. I ran Royal Purple oil for a while, nothing but good to say about the products. Redline Oil is a little more available to me (1 mile away instead of 4 TOWNS away), thats the only reason I switched from Royal Purple.

I would use Water Wetter...
The idea behind this stuff is just as much about lubricating areas that might not have good coolant/water flow as it is lowering actual coolant temps. Its supposed to hit hot spots where normal flow is poor.
99% sure NASCAR engines use Water Wetter and Distilled H2O for what its worth.
There are also "supercoolant" options like Evans. http://www.evanscooling.com/main25.htm

I am skeptical about new products like supercoolant when I dont know enough information, reviews or long term effects. I was too about Purple Ice but enough people use it to convince me...
