Default 1/4 mile question!!!!

OK. I gotta 01 SS SLP Edition A4 running 13.2@106.5 with Nitto's with SLP lid and SLP loud mouth. I'm about to install 1 3/4'' American Racing LT's with Y-pipe and no cats and of course tune after that. What do u guys think this car will run on 1/4 with those future mods with a perfect run? I'm hopping mid 12's?

O.O mid 12's after just LTs and an ORY? if ur running a consistent 13.2 right now, i'd say u wuld probably break into the 12s, but i wuldnt go so far as to say mid-12s. to go from 13.2 to 12.6 or 12.7, i believe u need a bit more....perhaps a good stall?

im a newb when it comes to mods and their effect on 1/4mi. times, but im pretty sure that the exhaust wont net u quite that much of a gain. granted, ur gettin a tune as well, but i still dont believe it'll push u that much further.

just my uneducated guess..im probably bout to get nailed up the cornhole in a few seconds..

I'll say you might get into high 12's with all the mentioned mods.

Good stall only if he is an A4 if he is an M6 driver mod.

LS1 Freak, you just answered my question from the other post! PS I think you are going to get into the high 12's and if you run a nice sticky tire I would say mid 12's. Im really want to hear what you think after you do your set up. Ive been contemplating about LT's for a few years now and I just dont really want to put on a new exhaust cause of the LM complaints about the LT's bolted on to them. Keep us posted.

Jeff, you MIGHT hit a 12.6 or so after installing the headers once it cools down this winter. If you put them on this summer, and head for the track in July/August, you probably won't do better than 12.9. UNLESS you cut those 60' times to under 2.0s. How long of a burnout do you usually do with the Nittos? You need to heat those bitches for a good 10 seconds or so to get them hot enough. Or just let me drive the car next time and there's your 12s right there, no further mods needed.

I'll let you drive it, that way I can see how it sounds down the track, I think you are right, it will probably run 12.8- 12.9 which is still a 12 second car not a 13, that will make me feel better

You'll probably be high 12's with a decent 60'. Add a stall and then you will see mid or even low 12's. Look at my mod list and best ET. Without the stall I'd be a 12.8-12.9 car all day long.

But as it sits I'm a 12.3-12.4 car all day long. I highly recommend a 3400-3800 stall with trans cooler as soon as funds allow

I Have A Friend With An 02 Ss With A 3500 Stall And Headers And Some Great Tunning , Also With Some Hoosiers Cuz Nittos Are Kind Of For Street Only Will Work On Track But Some Slicks, Et Streets Or Hoosiers Will Be Great ..

His Best Time Has Bee A 12.4

I Say U Can Hit Maybe A 12.5 Or 12.6 Or Maybe Around The Same Just Get Some Good Tires And A Great Tunning A Stall And No Problem....
