who cares.... just take your oil filter off. who needs those things anyways.

the best thing to do would be to leave the drain plug and oil filter OFF after pouring new dextron III ATF into your engine.

besides this thread is about what weight motor oil to use, not what oil is the best or what filter is the best.

What I meant by the fact that WIX doesn't advertise (TV etc.) is that they don't have to. The filters speak for themselves. I would never base a decision on advertising. The lack of advertising says more about WIX's product than FRAM could ever fit into their eleventy billion commercials.

ment K&N guys i had just read FRAM somewhere.. frams have to be the worst.. they are paper with less filter surface and most of the time they go into bypass mode within the first 500-1000 miles...

all in all we put 5-10 filters side by side WIX has the best components in them as well as filter

in a summed up version of it what should I run if Im going to change every 3000 $15-20$ oil change is what im trying to get here im not bringing anything to 4-5-6,000 miles in my car

If you have a noisy valvetrain or low/erratic oil pressure switching oils can help a lot. Performance... maybe 1hp lol. I don't think its really about performance.

true that. but what if you've already got stable oil pressure and regulated temps? I say pick something and stick with it. I mean it's not polite to just say screw Syntec if it's doing you right, or what have you.

Why bash switching oils, it won't gain in hp. Who retarded enough to think that? It can quiet calvetrain, and make the motor run smoother while ahving less oil breakdown and/or consumption, etc. So is that an advantage to you? Just keep running one oil I guess is allot better solution than trying something else to better the situation LOL

There is a difference between Wix filters and the rest too. Open some different filters up and look at the threads. I've seen shavings form tapping left in cheaper filters.

Drain all 5 quarts of your 10w30 and fill it back up with Dextron ATF, and see what happens to your engine.
