New LS1 Owner! dark blue z28
Just picked up the car tonight.. i traded in my silver s2000 and '01.. i'd just dumped to much $ into it.. decided to go w/ a LS1 cheaper payments, cheaper mods, alot more potential.. although this z28 will never handle like my lil honda did.. but it sure hauls ***.
Dark blue z28 T-tops, six speed.. '00 model w/ 31k miles.. i got it for $13,900 got a 100k mi warranty on it.
previous owner said it put down 324rwhp and 330tq w/ just lid.
is it bad that i already have all the mods i want planned out..?? hehe
z06 cam very soon.. hooker headers, ls6 intake, and 4.10 gears in a 12 bolt or 9in.

Congrats! You'll soon forget about that slow little S2000. Now here's the question. A Z06 cam?!! I'm ashamed! I know you at least want a TR 224/224-112.

CONGRATS! Welcome back from The Darkside.
There is nothing bad about already having all the mods you want to do planned out. The bad part is not following through with them. I agree with pimpmaro on the cam choice though.
You probably couldn't have picked a better town to own an F-body in. Lots o'good LS1 folks down there in H-town.

Damn Texas!!!!! It is so beautiful, and all the people are nice. All you Texans should be happy to live there because I live in Tampa Florida, and it BLOWS. My car is considered exotic because I am like one of 60 in Tampa with an SS, and one of 200 with a V8 camaro, no lie. I have been to Texas, and plan to go to school there after high school. I am glad to hear that there are alot of F-body owners in Texas, it beter emphasizes my decision. Hope to see all of ya' in 2006, you guys are the best!!!!

Texas rules! SS's aren't very rare at all here, at our last cruise there were like 40 f-bodies and Vettes and probably 30 of them were SS Camaros. I had the only convertible one
Welcome to the club Insomniak! We have a custom leather interior group purchase going on that ends today (see Sponsor forum). I noticed your photos on that ad had the cloth interior.

Cool deal!!! Did you buy THIS CAR???
yep same car! i picked the z06 cam cause i want to keep the warranty.. i'll go with something a lil more aggresive later on but for now w/ all those bolt ons i think i'd be pretty happy.. i'd like to hear the MTI stealth cam.. anyone in houston have it installed???
if i can get away w/ that it makes a bit more power.. just don't want a noticable lope that will void that $1,500 warranty :/

Congrats on your new purchase. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've never actually driven an S2000 so I can't really knock it, but I think the F-body cars definitely look a lot cooler. Welcome to the forum.

Congrats!
My GF's bro'law has a 2000 S2000 and it's a neat car... But your new car will totally blow it away. You would have to really look into suspension mods to hang with a S2000 in the turns but you can get there... Ted's would take corners like it was glued to the ground but it felt like it was as fast as my Tahoe.

Re: New LS1 Owner! dark blue z28
It is official, I am going to UTI's campus in Texas, Houston to be exact. I am going to takethe Hot Rod U courses, to help me get in the NHRA. I hav been to Houston, and must say, it s great! I can't wait to go there, and look forward to metting Nine Ball, as well as his cars. That goes for the rest of you, need someone to talk to about moddifing my car while in school, AWAY FROM MY PARENTS . That way, I can do what ever I want to the car without them saying, "It's already fast!","It is already loud". They have never been to the track, so they do not know what loud is. Hope to see you all in 2 years!!!
