Default Questions on ls1 z28 purchase

Well as you can tell from the title im in the horsepower hunt . Ihave driven around 5 ls1 camaros including a'02 ss and a '99 30th ta. after a few good rides im infatuated . my questions is to the expierenced people. i am goin to purchase a '99 or so z28 and start small with probably a tsp lid and hooker catback because of the raves of the performance vs. money vs. fit satisfaction for both i have seen. i will follow this probably with basic suspension including sfc, lca, and sb to tighten it up. to me this sounds like a great start and any input will be very grealy apreciated.

thanks
sasquatch

The '99 will not have the LS6 intake, upgraded injectors, clutch, and the heads are reportedly slightly more restrictive.
All of these will be mods on your list eventually. The '02 SS will have them all standard. I'm sure the money you save w/ the '99 will alot plenty of funds for modding. Have fun!

When I bought my 99 the first thing I did was add an SLP lid. Then I added the Hooker catback and a BMR STB. Made a big difference, and I'm very happy with my choices. Next will be a 160 Stat and SFC's...
