Default New 2002 Trans AM WS6

Hey i bought my trans am a few months ago and I had a question I figured I should ask it. My cars an 02' with 70k on the clock and I bought it in Chicago for $15,000 after all the taxes/fees were added up...the exterior of the car is perfect, interiors perfect, it runs strong, gets great mileage, t-tops dont leak, brand new tires were on it, and all that great stuff....but how much would YOU guys have paid for the car????...

Blue Book price is like $13,500 private party value in excellent condition. When buying a used car i usually try to get under the blue book price as much as i can wiggle. But considering a its a pretty rare vehicle in good shape, id would be willing to pay full blue book price on it. I think you got ripped off.

I paid 15,500 total for my 2002 camaro ss a few weeks ago, new tires, PRISTINE condition, bone stock, 1 female owner (nearly 50 years old), 50K miles.

I wouldnt have paid so much, but I knew knew knew it was a babied rig. I test drove several cars before this car, and none of them felt tite and all gave me the impression they were pigs wearing lipstick (they would have "new tires" or some other type of fixer up gimic). If its a finely maintained F-body, I personally wouldnt mind paying what you did.

hope this helps,

Enjoy

KBB.com says from a dealer in excellent shape $16,600. Private Party is around $13,500. Maybe I was too quick to judge before. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. The important thing is you got the car you wanted and you can afford it.

That is a little high but I'm glad to see the resale value on WS6's holding pretty well.

As for your price... well consider this:
A month ago I bought my 2000 T/A with 39k miles for $13,500 before taxes from a dealer. Very good condition.
So I wouldnt say you got a deal... but u paid less then most dealers would charge.
WS6s in dealers are crazy expensive (i was looking for one in IL for a while). There was a red m6 at a dealer near my house with like 45k miles they wanted $21k for it... i walked away.

I paid 13.9k out the door on my 2001 Z28 with 36k miles. PERFECT condition. But i probably would have paid what you did for a WS6 as well.
