Headers installed now ory
Okay question....I got my headers installed and I enjoyed the sound a lot. However, i heard it was bad for your car so I also purchased the ORY. I was installing the ORY and I decided to only put on the first two pieces (one on each side). Is this bad for my car??
Also, another quesion, I was attempting to install in the last piece of the ORY onto the stock piece and it seemed like it was either an extremely tight fit or it was the wrong size. This is also why I only put on the first pieces as mentinoed above.
If any experts can assist me I would appreciate it.

as long as you have at least a foot or so of pipe extending past the headers you should be ok, the reason open headers isnt good is cold air gets sucked back in, and throws off the o2's and they will go out very quickly

because if you look at a set of LT headers, the bungs for the o2's are right at the collector, and in between exhaust pulses, cooler air "can" be sucked back to the location of the o2's, but as i understand it, the extensions prevent this from happening, because there is not enough backpressure to suck the cooler outside air all the way back to the o2's

The extra pipe helps protect the o2's a little better. Otherwise they'd just be sitting 3" away from open air with open headers. Cold air + hot o2s = asking for trouble. It's not going to mess your engine up or anything, but I wouldn't expect the o2s to last very long.

sounds like not wasting o2 sensors is the way to go. a few feet of pipe & some exhaust shop welds will probably be cheaper than $140, and of course... safer.
guess you're not worried about having an exhaust too loud??
