LM1 is crazy loud with lt's and ORY. i had it on my car. took it of because the muffler (if u can even call it that) didnt seem to do much if anything at all. I still have the muffler. looks like a glasspack, but its all hollowed out inside for the most part.

I had LM1 LT and ORYp on my last F-body.

Get the LM2.

It will still be loud as **** but instead of sounding horrible it will sound good and low. If you get the LM1 you will be louder, exp about 3k rpm when the resonantor really reaonantes (PUN).

I went LM2 this time and its still loud like I like but not raspy.

im not looking for the whole kit just the muffler so i guess i will try both, i am going to weld up my own exhaust from 3" pipe and i figured throw one of these mufflers in the mix if i can get them for a decent price. i like raspy but how bad is it i dont want some redneck old truck sound from it, i also like the deep sound right now i have a 40 series flowmaster under the tail and i want it louder but deep like that. how much louder is the 1 versus the 2 i might just go with the 1 cause i want it obnoxious. anyone have sound clips that have had either of these?

Just go to a parts shop and get a bullet style muffler. There is no difference in a LM2 muffler and a Racebullet. Its a perforated core muffler. Anyways you will loose all that deepness the more flow you give it. And the LM1 "muffler" is just a larger section of pipe.

If you decide that you may want a whole system shoot me a PM. I have the LM1 modular catback with the SLP tips. I didn't know which muffler I wanted either so I bought just the LM2 muffler to switch out, I'll let it go with the system to. The system hasn't been on the car for a month yet, bought it and heard true duals for the first time in real lifeSo that's my next setup. I'll let the catback go for $300

That car sounds cammed.

Edit: I meant to say mildly. A LM2 will be more refined than that if you have high flow cats. My setup has a deeper tone compared to that.

Like this kinda: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kbi_CBXQjdQ

i havent put my cam and head package on yet and the car is internally stock just the LT's and a 3" ORY-pipe through a 40 series flowmaster. 02WS6 TA what size is the exhaust diameter of the SLP kit? and how would it install to the y-pipe? pretty sure i got screwed when i had my headers and y-pipe installed but when they did it they welded the y-pipe to the reast of the exhaust not the headers but the rear of it WTF right. so i think i would be screwed to go with your kit. either way i am interested. FLA02TA i will have to listen to your clip when i get home cause i cant view you tube on my work computer ( military standard i guess)<--BS

Forget the muffler. Get straight headers shooting right out the hood like a derby car or something. Then people will really think your an obnoxious *******.

Noxiouss has a cam, headers, ORY, and a loudmouth catback. Thing sounds sick as hell.

I have been in it at WOT and the sound is awesome! The idle is absolutely sick!
