Default Knock sensors

So i'm getting the Knock Sensor Low Input DTC for both banks, and at WOT its automatically pulling 4* of timing, so i'm assuming that means that my knock sensors are bad, which kinda pisses me off cause i just did a LS6 intake swap. I found some Delphi ones for $37 each. are these good to get?

its either the sensors or the wiring harness to them. you could have messed up the wiring to them during the install

or your using bad gas, or your y pipe is hitting the floorboard under WOT. both will set off knock sensors.

if you have a aftermarket y pipe then yes, some people have had that problem. some of them sit too close to the body, and under wot hit the body causing the knock sensors to think the engine is knocking.

No. I've had HPTuners running and felt my Y- Pipe banging through the seat and it shows no knock retard.

Think about this, you install headers and a Y - Pipe, sure you might get some banging but you've also changed the exhaust gas flow of the engine, and the pipe bangs under the highest load conditions. All of these will have a greater effect on knock retard than the pipe banging.

Show me a video of a y pipe banging and a laptop showing KR and I'll be convinced, otherwise no. Show me a video of someone beating the header with a hammer and a laptop showing KR. Otherwise, it's not the cause.

I think it's a coincidence. I got a new camera, maybe I'll do some myth busting. Or find out it does cause KR.

You. Might alsowant to check your connections. After installing the Intake you could have pinched the wires. It is unusual for both sensors to fail at once.

And onanother note my sensors were not sensing knock with my banging ory or with the open ory.
