Default Seafoam engine? YES OR NO?

Just wondering if running that stuff through my 143K mile ls1 will hurt anything? Also whats the best way of doing it, pouring it in the tank or disconnecting a vacuum line and pouring it in the intake?

Default seafoam

I use that stuff in my truck and yea it actually works pretty good the hesitation and my service engine light went off when I used this stuff. I have not used in my camaro but a couple of times I think I got like 1 or 2 more mpg. I just poured it into my gas take straight. Dont pour it in a vaccum line you will hydrolock the motor and it will stall. If you do use it on a vaccum line you have to have a I.V. type deal that will drip into the vaccum line slowly. Hope this helps we use the fuel injector cleaner stuff at N.T.B works good looks like your car is getting I.V. Fluids lol.

Absolutely. About what 98z28hispanic said above about not putting it into the vacuum line, absolutely do this as well. Just pour it in slowly and stall the engine out with the last gulp. There is a good writeup around here somewhere, just search.

I didn't mean literally pour it in I meant the way you were talking about.

By the looks of the gunk on the throttle body of the 82k mile LS1 I bought for my Z28, I felt the need to seafoam through the vacuum line four times in the past 4 months, and did the oil treatment twice.

I seafoamed and did it through the brake booster line and also the gas tank.....IMO i don't think pouring it in the crankcase is wise although people have done it many times like this with good results however i don't think it's a nessesary thing to do.

Search for the Choco_Taco writeup.

I have seafoamed a few LS1s, and if you do it right, it's rather nice.

I've been meaning to give that stuff a shot and always forget to grab some when I'm at the auto parts store. Thanks for the reminder.

I've done it on a few cars and I've noticed the more you race the engine the less **** comes out. Your burning up more of the carbon that builds up when you race it than if grandma was only driving it to get groceries every day.

What affect does SeaFoam have on valve seals? Is it compatible with that material? Anyone monitor long term oil consumption before and after??

I have heard nitrous does a nice job of cleaning out the carbon deposits.

I've done it to three different cars. Good stuff. Use one can in your gas tank, 1/2 can in your intake (I went through the PCV line), and 1/2 can in your oil. It's all in the directions on the back of the can.

Whenever i do mine, i put it in a cup, take the tube off the booster, and put it in the cup, I've never hydrolocked my motor, you just cant let it idle. Works great!!!

both and pour some in the oil too, right before an oil change. make sure to follow the directions and you should be fine.

My car runs fine but im thinking about doing sea foam then oil change and plugs for a good tune up. My car has 114k miles and it has not ever seen anything like sea foam. My NGKtr55's have about 30k on them so im thinking doing all this at once will add some power.

I've done the brake booster method to my car twice now. Funnel fits right into it and I just poured it slowly.
