Default Car won't start, or even crank...

Battery is brand new and still checks out good. Alternator was good as of a week ago. Pulled the starter, it tested good. Now what?

When I turn the key, all I get is a simple click. No crank, nothing.

No security light. However, I'll go check my other key.

Check your relays, ignition and starter relays are located in the fuse box under the hood. See if the prongs look worn, if they are swap them with one of the fan relays and try starting it. I think they're $10 or so at Kragen. Hope that helps.

just behind the battery on the fender well there is a red cover where the battery cable goes through. i had mine get a little coroded around there on my old 93 firebird and it did the same thing. i pulled the cable off both ends and just put a bolt in it and it strarted and no problems after that. good luck

I don't think the LS1s have that. At least I didn't see what you meant.

One of my fuse box covers is worn to where you can't read half of it. Anyone have a picture of them?

https://www.mygmlink.com/pdf/go2cont...1998camaro.pdf It's for a 98 but I think they're the same as the 99. Fuses section is 6-66 and 6-67

Check all your wiring going to the starter if you didn't already and see if maybe something got burned or cut.

I push started it today and dropped it off at the shop. I'll update y'all.

(I still think it's the starter.)

you try cleaning the cable ends that go into your side post? ive had alot of problems with mine being corroded to the point were it will run accesories but wont start the car. all you get is a click. i usually just put dielectric grease on it and it cures it.
