whining sound i have a whining sound that comes from under the hood when i start my car im sure somthing is going out but dont know what it sounds like somthing kicking on like a pump of some kinda and when i give the car gas it will stop but when i let off the gas it start going it again. kinda sounds like a real loud fuel pump.

I agree with the guys above... air pump. Start your car up jump out and put your head down by the driver wheel well. the air pump is behind the the fog light. see if it's louder there.

yeah i think it might be the air pump cause it does not keep doing it just when it starts and when i give it some gas it stops but the alt. prob is going bad too. how do i go about taking the a.i.r out? iv never done that before.
