Hey was wondering if this universal y pipe was catted? anybody running this? are there small perforations on the inside like a resonator? or is it just straight through?

that is the whole y-pip, that is just the y-pipe transition; you still need the rest of the pipe (2 ends to the headers, and the 1 end piece to the catback).

It is better to have one custom built b/c you can have it taylored to your car EXACTLY.

I don't see a problem with that transition but the flowmaster is a better design then that one. That design still kinda smashes the exhaust pulses down into the single pipe a little harshly. The flowmaster brings them parallel to each other and reduces them to a 3 inch pipe a little slower. Imagine inside the pipe two "D" shaped pipes back to back to create an "O". Mine goes from 2 3" pipes to a 4" merge then is reduced to a 3" pipe again to the back. Kills rasp and flowes great, maybe scavenges a little too. Only downside to the flowmaster is I'm not sure it's made in stainless.

LOL you don't want my Y pipe setup its the QTP design and it only fits there headers and it fits like ****. It hangs REAL low on the driver side bends and I'm not happy with it minus it flows like a MF. Best you could probably do is get the Flowmaster merge from summit or similar and take it to an exhaust shop that can bend 3" pipe. Make sure you get the 3" to 4" merge and then you can take it back down to 3" to mate up with a catback system. Mufflex or similar I've heard do that kinda thing.
