I just ordered a set of KYB GR-2 shocks and struts for mine. Came to $184, shipped.

I'm in the same boat as you, I need new shocks, but have a limited budget.

I haven't recieved them yet, but when I do, I'll post my results after the install.

I have tokico shocks (blue) all around, with stock springs. I really like them. Konis are better, but are over my budget....

I also have tokico blues, got em on ebay, 280 shipped for shocks and struts. Tokico calls their front shocks struts, other brands call em shocks all the way around.

I'm assuming by "track" you mean drag racing right?
Stock rears are fine for drag racing, they have lots (too much) compression, which is good for launch but terrible for ride or handling.

One of my DRs in the back is completely bald.. the other one has quite abit of tread.. Im assuming the only way this happens is from a bad shock, anyone else have this problem. Also looking for a cheap alternative shock

I myself have tokico blues. Got them for $100/pair from ws6store. Having 70xxx miles on the car at the time there was a noticeable difference. Although if you're looking for a true drag shock I would save your pennies and deal with the worn out stocker for a while.

We do not have struts, we have shocks all around.

QA1's are a decent drag shock but unless you are primarily a drag car they suck for handling on the street. All out drag stuff AFCO is hard to beat. If you can afford those Konis get'em though I liked SA's better.

Nope.
Thats like saying "a cam is a cam." Cams have different specs like shocks have different valving. Different shocks are valved to do different things. In a nutshell:
Drag shocks have little rebound control, letting the front end lift for launching. Handling shocks have lots of rebound control to control the body movement, making things less abrupt, and the car easier to control.

Yes, it happens pretty often with the factory 10 bolt.
