Default 2007 z06 cracked cylinder sleeve HELP please

I have a 2007 z06, and the car over heated, but less then 30 seconds, the hose blew off, and when i seen the gauge rising i shut the car off...
Now, the dealership, is saying there is no damage to the heads, or the gaskets, but the sleeve has a hair line crack. pistons are fine..
when i got he car it had been hit in the front, and repaired, the dealership ran the car with the intake manifold being broken, with peices inside.

what would cause the sleeve to crack, and nothing eles..

also, the tech said somthing about the coolent being mixed in the fuel..? wtf...

help please

Let me see if I understand you...

You bought a car that had been in an accident, but was repaired, then after it was repaired the dealer drove it with a broken intake manifold previous to selling it to you? Then the car overheated because a coolant hose popped off for only 30 seconds? Thus resulting in the a cylinder sleeve cracking? What caused the coolant hose to pop off? Sounds like your suffered some serious damage.

I guess that they dealership has the entire engine out of the car and tore down in order to reach this conclusion?? I cant even imagine how hot a cylinder liner would have to get in order to crack under NA conditions..Even with a busted intake and that cylinder leaning out the rest of the engine would have dissipated the heat throughout the rest of the block and heads. Would have had a crazy high idle if that was the case. I dont know I guess it is possible but I would definitely have to go and see this crack for myself only way to have dye tested the cylinder wall would be to have the heads off after running coolant through it and that would still be really questionable...What a mess you have me really puzzled how they came to decide that was actually the problem man..Almost makes me want to just call BS on the dealership...You sure on of the local wrenches isn't looking to build a nice ls6 project of his own and sending you for a ride?
