What are you up to these days? You got a shop or anything? I think I remember someone telling me you were offshore?

Ready to make it 0-4?

(i think we ran 3 times at twin cities) correct?

Steve you know I am f@#king with ya man. I gotta have a welder on my good side lol
we ran twice at twin cities and yeah you are 2-0. good job. but at the end of the day i ran the same time as you and on a drag radial, something your car cant do. so anytime we meet i can produce the time...and so can you if everyone can wait for you to go home and get your big bad slick. also let me point out that any one of the 6 speeds has more money in the 9 inch then i have in all my mods, and you cant hook from a dig without a tire thats more or less not practical to drive on the street. Stalled auto for king of the street *******

Mine has run in the 11's on a stock rearend, so has Chads (nitrobusa)car. Steve I wouldn't count Nittos as a DR they actually suck compared to MT DR's. Your car would run much better with a set. Next time we go we will put my Bogarts fronts and rears on your car and you will get your 11 sec pass.

Your right, I cant on a drag radial, at least the p.o.s. bfg's I had, never tried a MT radial. And you're right on the 9" too. I would still be running the ol 10 bolt if I hadn't broke it. So not wanting to break it again, I invested in a 9". Someone let me borrow some MT drag radials and I will prove you wrong, cause I aint buying any. Keep in mind my car weighs a couple hundred more lbs than yours

You talking to me I assume?

Well if so, I'm in the oil field but not offshore. I don't have the shop anymore (I sure do miss having that place) just trying to make a livin and work on the Hotrod a little bit.

I will run one of ya'lls six speed cars at the track. I have one of those slow a4 cars no weight reductions. Looks like I will have to come down to twin city in a couple of weeks as long as they run tnt on sunday and do a little dialing on a couple of cars for the 11 sec time slips.

Better have a camera in your ride too, because they try to make every race to look llike the S2K always comes out in front!

I read some of it just now. I think it is an unfair comparison to put a F1 car up against a cummings diesel. I think a better comparison would be to put a 500 hp car up against another 500 hp car, while one has low tq numbers and the other has higher tq numbers and see the outcome. Also, comparing them on a dynojet is also unfair when comparing the rate of accleration because dynojets do not take into account the vehicles actual weight (mass) and that is why dynojet hp numbers arent "true" values.

I think its known that cars with the same HP and different Tq values will have different outcomes in a drag race, all other variables being constant.

yeah i watched the video of the red z28 blow the MTs off at the starting line, and i watched chris blow the qtps off a couple times. dropping the hammer at 6Gs requires one hell of a tire. i know my converter has enough to get me into the elevens (with traction) plus i was running 3/4s a tank a gas which was my fault and spare and jack also. i ran on sunday what my car can run anyday. i didnt want to put on some dog and pony show just for one timeslip. also keep in mind my suspension is 100% stock as well. 6 speeds can be fast but lets be honest. 9 inch rear = $2500. my converter and cooler and guages was $1000 and my full cam set-up was about $700. Also, my cam was prolly the smallest there.

True. From what i hear most of the time there are several races and the only on that makes it to the public is the one that looks the best to them.

actually i wont bc this one has done so well this far and has probably seen lots of abuse through its life that i will just buy another stock one and put it in. im not shelling out $2000 for a built trans. And besides that, it did way better sunday then i expected, i felt like i could have run the track 100 times and not broken anything.<<<--and i really wasn't expecting that. even if it last me through the year then breaks, i can get a replacement for a couple hundred. i could go through 5 before i will have paid for a built one.
