bottom line is i have a baby stall and a baby cam. you put a 4000 converter with a 230+ cam and its game over, mod for mod that is....since thats what we been talking about.

Chris,
Of course you have an agenda. You have a six speed, and you want to have the fastest thing around. That's not always a bad thing. As far as the races you've had, anything can happen on the street. I'm curious as to how much you knew about the cars you were racing. People are not always honest. I beat a "13 second mustang" with my Volvo. The Volvo ran 14.4 by the way.

I never have been much for roll racing. I think I can be quoted as saying something to the effect of "roll racing is for girls driving civics". That's probably more gentle than what I actually said. Men with V8, rear wheel drive, American, hot rods should race from a dig.

The term "street tires" is up for interpretation. I consider anything that has a DOT rating a street tire. There are guys running 8's on "street tires." (Auto guys I should add.)

Cody,
I started my post saying that I prefer a manual. That's not what the question was about. I'd much rather drive a manual transmission. I've had over 30 cars. Well over half have been manual transmission. I love downshifting into a corner and accelerating out of it. I LOVE being able to control completely what gear I'm in. The T56 is the BEST manual transmission EVER in my opinion. That doesn't mean it's the best transmission for drag racing, or even the girly roll racing I mentioned above.

This topic has been beaten to DEATH, right here in this very forum.

I hope nobody's really pissed about it.

point made, and congrats to 6 speeds inc who obviously has a hell of a fast car. but like hilton mentioned, how many times does it go down the track between rebuilds.

and yes for the record for autoX 6 speeds rule by a good bit......

Im sorry im stuck on the whole autos arent fast on the street thing......you roll up on any of those guys^^^ and its game over. the converter equals the straight line speed factory autos arent born with that 6 speeds are. then its auto=M6 on the street.

So, here Steve has confirmed that while A4 cars clearly dominate the fastest times, it is revelealed that BOTH types of cars are capable of running the same range of E/T. In the end, at least from my viewpoint, a freakin' 1000th of a second means ****.

That is, unless you revert to Vin Diesel's quote of "Winning is winning"

You ******* satisfied yet?

Yes, I respect stalled autos on the street, and stalled autos at the track, and my mommy and my daddy and my grandparents and my boss. Just not the current President.

No. I want someone research how many passes the six speed record holder makes between tearing down and rebuilding the transmission.

It's more of a difference than 1000th of a second. Steve only posted the "9 second club" There are a lot of F bodies MUCH faster than 9.829.

I've got other **** to do. Maybe more later.

If it's not on the six speed list, it must be the other one.

No, I dont. Its just that every time this topic comes up I have to hear about how stalled autos are king of the street. I have given autos credit for lots of stuff, ITS YOU that have never given credit to 6spds, I cant recall a comment ever about the top end on a 6spd. Its always "auto is king" I am guessing you havent really raced much on the highway where we can really open the cars up. And I dont know why your bringing up the fastest list cause none of us are even close to that. I know that after a certain point you have to have an auto to go faster. But you said specifically, "roll race" so thats on the street, not the track. And if yall shut it down at 100mph, well then neither one of yall really know which car is faster. Thats the difference between street racing and track racing, it doesnt stop at the quarter mile.

And out of all of these, who do you think has the more "streetable" car? I am betting the guy with the 5900 stall doesnt do much with his, or #2. But wait! Look who is in #3 spot, he could have drove his **** to the track for all we know. Yeah, stalled autos for king of the street

Only #3 was black. The rest were all red and pewter. On a side note what happened to josh? I hate to see anything bad happen to any of us, even the ones that drive red a4's
