You could cut a hole in the floor and Flintstone your *** around faster than you can with that a4. Sounds like a computer issue maybe, you know that thing that decides when and how you should shift instead of you. Leaves less decisions to the handicapped driver

What got all of this A4 vs M6 BS started? You cant knock a auto for the fact thats its a auto and not as fast as a manual car. Im a fan of a manual myself and dont car for a auto but push come to shove i would have a auto in a car that would see a lot of track time. More consistent and dont have to worry about missing a shift.

Alright, enough A4 bashing. I bet my A4 has travelled more miles than any of you M6 guys to and from tracks or just to cruise to the beach. Let's just drop the idea of a fast A4 car not being able to run around on the street just as well as an M6. I've recently added just a little weight to my car, but am up for a roll race with a M6 if that is what needs to happen to rep for the autos. When the speedo is bouncing off the peg, my car still pulls just fine so I'm your huckleberry.
I still think that roll racing is for people who can't get their cars to hook or those who are afraid their crap will break.

Anyone have a converter i can barrow to see if mine is messed up? It can be any size but would rather use a stock one. I just need one for a few hours, wont even drive it just want to see if it will pull and shift. I think its between a electrical problem or the converter.

I use to think an auto with a big converter was no way going to be very streetable until I rode in Scotts car way back in the day. Once you get moving you don't even realize it has a 4400 in it.
I like them both myself, they both have there good points and bad points. My red car will have an auto trans in it because I want it to be a good track only car and going with the auto is the best way to go if you want to get all you can out of your setup.
My black car is going back 6 speed because it is by far more fun to drive on the street and I don't plan to make it run any better NA than it has already run. I think my Z28 has rebelled ever since I put the a3 in there

Want to run my dads equally modded auto from a roll? He has a way smaller cam, a lot less gear and runs about the same mph that you run. You might win but might not, I think it would be a closer race than you think. I'd like to know how it would workout myself. A good converter makes a world of difference.

Well im going to throw this out there and see what yall think. I started the car and was checking everything under the hood. When i closed the hood the car died. I started it back up and got to looking around and grabbed the computer and it died again. Could the computer not be grounded good and cause the computer not to act right? Its cutting the fuel pump off when it is touched.

No it is a full weight car, full magnaflow exhaust with 17" DR's on the back and skinnies up front. It has run a best of 11.48@116 with Welds and DR's, just a driver seat. Now it has the full single exhaust, all the interior and 17's out back and it runs around 11.8@114 and pulls mid 1.5x 60's. It would out run my car in the 1/8th by about a .10 and mine would put .3 on it from the 1/8th to 1320 back when I had the 6 speed and running low 11.3's
