I leave for a few days and ya'll go back to beating that dead horse again. There's much more to it than A4 vs M6, mod for mod, so on and so forth. I have been around racing more than I have raced and do know a little bit. I'm with the M6 guys for sure, BUT when it comes to racing competively like has been mentioned time and time again, consistency is what wins on the track and autos are notorious for that, but times are changing and manual trannies aren't just for towing anymore. Back in the day autos were stronger, but heavy. Why do you think most guys swap to TH350's and TH400's. The manual trannies of old weren't really up to the abuse that an auto could withstand unless it said muncie on it which still wouldn't last, but you had a better chance with it than any other M4 on the market at the time. There was also less aftermarket then for them. Not even comparable to what it is now. The technology in the T56 changed everything for us manual guys. I'm not saying it's the best when it comes to racing, but it ain't no slouch and all of you A4, A3, and A2 guys have seen this with your own eyes and vice versa so why kid each other. They all have their strong/ weak points, but in this game you gotta pay to play and usually the one with the most money wins no matter what tranny.

Hilton, I believe it's every 5 passes that Joe has to rebuild the tranny. But anything for full blown racing has to be rebuilt frequently. All of us should be glad we don't run Top Fuel. I'll be damned if I gotta rebuild my motor after every pass.

As for me being absent, I just had some stuff that needed to be tended to and I got off my *** and opened my eyes. Now everything is cool and back to the way it used to be. Don't know when I'll be at the track next, but I promise the first night RRR opens I'll be there in battle mode ready to hand some of you your *** lol. Now ya'll quit fondling yourselves from excitement of my return and find something else to argue about lmao.

Welcome back! I hope you get it worked out.

I can play both sides of the m6vsa4 game. You jump on the wrong m6 you will get a beat down and you jump on the wrong auto you'll get the same so pick your fights wisely. That what makes these cars so great, the manuals are tough and can handle a ton of abuse and the autos ain't bad either. Go back to the old muscle car days and for the most part there trans were junk, esp. the manuals

I just sent a PT4000 back to Yank to get it rebuilt and restalled to a SS4000 Probably one of the most effecient converters on the market for these cars. A buddy of mine went from a high end Vigilante 4000 to a Yank PT4000 and picked up .05/1 mph. May not seem like a whole lot but every bit counts when you start making 500 hp.

wow im jealous, the ss line from yank has a notoriously good reputation from everyone. i said if my trans ever has to come back out i am selling my converter to get one. i think you and josh D are gonna be a pretty good match up even though i know his cam is way bigger. isnt your cam motion like a 226?

Galen gave me an LS1. I just took it out of the back of my father's truck. I'm going to start pulling it apart and hopefully get the Camaro back on the road over in the next week or so.

Hopefully the same guys who didn't know **** about a Volvo engine swap are willing to come!

I'm either going to put it back pretty close to stock, or with a mild cam. Something used and mid/low 220.

^^^we solved the cam/gear issue.....and destroyed your ball joints. what else do you want from us????

my favorite was the exhaust manifold in the oven with VHT header paint curing. The look on Kate's face was priceless.

You have either broken a ground wire in the harness, or left one off of the back of the head. Should be 3 ground wires on the back of the head, and one ground strap from the front drivers side of the subframe rail to the block.

If you want to half *** it, put a ring terminal on one of the PCM bolts, and run it to the ground near the battery.

I found the bad ground. The pump is out in the trans, pulled both lines off and started the car and no fluid is flowing. Got a new pump and pulling the trans out now. I sure hope this is the last problem that i run into. Im just ready to drive the damn thing.
