Well, I started to tear into the th350 today and found a broken retainer as soon as I pulled the pump out. Then found two burned frictions/steel bands before I stopped. I will finish it off tomorrow and see what else I might find. I knew this thing wasn't right, it's been acting stupid ever since I installed it. There is no reason that this thing has never ran anywhere near what it did with the 6 speed

All I know is I want to see chad's car with some slicks. 2.1 60's and mid 11 sec times
That thing is gonna be retarded with those qtp's. Make sure you get some arp studs if you havent already, dont go out there and pull a chris and get the the rim off. Car is damn stout with a cam only. I ordered some from thunder yesterday bout 3pm and they were on my doorstep at 11am when I went outside with ground service

well hopefully i will be in the elevens w the gear swap and maybe a tiny bit more weight reduction. and if i could get my converter to hook from idle i bet i could see at least a low 1.6 or high 1.5 sixty foot. it kills me that i baby it off the line and can still cut the same sixty foots some of the 6K clutch dropping 6 speeds cut ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

my best sixty foot was a 1.69 i believe. with a converter you have a stall speed it will jump to then a hit of power to the wheels. well if you stall it up then take off you have no momentum built up, you just get the advantage of the converter stall speed. if you come from idle and punch it, it free revs to stall speed then hits the tires with a lot more force therefor catapulting you forward a lot like a manual. its way harder to hook that way obviously. when i was cutting the 1.69 and 1.70s i was stalling it as high as possible so the intial hit would be soft on the tires. i came off at about 1000 rpms the first run and blew the DRs off. the car has more 60 foot in it, i think maybe enough to see elevens, but i have to hook it.
