Well, I started to tear into the th350 today and found a broken retainer as soon as I pulled the pump out. Then found two burned frictions/steel bands before I stopped. I will finish it off tomorrow and see what else I might find. I knew this thing wasn't right, it's been acting stupid ever since I installed it. There is no reason that this thing has never ran anywhere near what it did with the 6 speed

Thanks for the compliment, My tires arrived today and the car already has ARP studs in it. I should have the front and rear Qa1's by friday and I'm taking my car to Raceteck tomorrow to put everything on. (when) I get it to hook I think it will run low 11's on motor. Thats my goal...

Cody/Steve, the vids were great fellas. It was nice finally getting to see mine rolling down the track.
Its no secret. This is the same cam that was in Jacobs silver vette. I has the HPE C-cam in my old car and it was an awesome cam too. I think it actually made the same power this one did through an auto trans.

You can get in the 11.8x's with nothing more than seat time. Take a look at your mph

I have noticed my mph was pretty decent. I wish RRR would open back up. I could at least make it out there any friday, it would be late, but I could make it

well hopefully i will be in the elevens w the gear swap and maybe a tiny bit more weight reduction. and if i could get my converter to hook from idle i bet i could see at least a low 1.6 or high 1.5 sixty foot. it kills me that i baby it off the line and can still cut the same sixty foots some of the 6K clutch dropping 6 speeds cut ..6 speeds

what were your 60's? What do you mean hook from idle? I thought as an auto you wanted to stall it up on the line?

my best sixty foot was a 1.69 i believe. with a converter you have a stall speed it will jump to then a hit of power to the wheels. well if you stall it up then take off you have no momentum built up, you just get the advantage of the converter stall speed. if you come from idle and punch it, it free revs to stall speed then hits the tires with a lot more force therefor catapulting you forward a lot like a manual. its way harder to hook that way obviously. when i was cutting the 1.69 and 1.70s i was stalling it as high as possible so the intial hit would be soft on the tires. i came off at about 1000 rpms the first run and blew the DRs off. the car has more 60 foot in it, i think maybe enough to see elevens, but i have to hook it.

I figured it had to be a big cam, cause I was looking at our first run together and that thing really wakes up after the 1/8th. That's the reason I asked.

Wait til I get my 2-step. MSD makes one for the LS's now, so I can't wait til I get one. I've been watching the vids over and over listening to the car and the launch. It was still bogging a little at 6k, so next time I'll try about 6200. So when I get the 2-step I'll know where to set it. I'm gonna have that thing leaving alot harder and more consistently soon.
