Anyone going to the World of Wheels this weekend in Shreveport you can save $2/adult & $1/children tickets by getting your ticket at O'Reilly's.

Any idea on what we're doing for WoW? I should be leaving the house around 545 or 6. Any particular place anyone wants to meet up? Or just do a see ya when I see ya at the show.

It wasn't very good. Same cars that are there every year. We did talk to Tom Brown about the track and is sounds like it's going to be a nice place when they get it opened up. "The Drag Strip at Thunder Road" is the new name. Web site should be up and running in a week or two

Just got back from the WoW. I met with the owners who were extremely nice/ informative on alot of things. I talked with Tom Brown the most who told me he would be running the track for the most part. From what he also told me about the rennovations, the track will not look like the same track. Also for the guys who quit coming because of traction issues. This problem will be solved from what I was told also. One story he told me was when he was running it in it's first years of opening a guy pulled up to the line on a motorcycle and put his feet down for balance. The track was so sticky that when he left the line the soles of his shoes stayed there. So my advice to all the guys and gals "BEEF UP THEM DRIVETRAINS." Opening day should be on March 9th. Woohoo can't wait!!

Oh yeah and they're thinking of having TnT on thursdays, but that's unofficial at the moment. Fridays are going to be for weekly events. Like street king shootouts, and so on and so forth. Should be interesting.

I was next in line when the guy on the motorcycle tore the sole of of his left boot. That was the 2nd or 3rd weekend the track was open. That is a true story

When I told them about my media background, they seemed interested. They want word to get out to about a 150 mile radius and I told them I could definitely help them do that.
I'm so excited that they're going to do something nice with the place that I may have to take the HHR out.
WoW was once again not very impressive. Seen most of them before and still haven't figured out what the hell that Toyota pick up was doing there.

I also talked a little bit about efi with Tom. He said for us to get with him on what we are looking to do. He said anything that will keep the track entertaining he is interested in doing.
