eh, it'll get driven hard, that's for sure. I've always liked Prostars as just an every day wheel. The set before the last set of slicks and skinnys were my all the time wheels.

Well i went to the track and messed the car up some more. Last time we took it it went 14.47 @100 spinning, tonight it went 14.27 at 96 spinning and lost 3rd gear so i still say it has some high 13.s in it. Too bad i wont find out. Im pulling the motor and trans and putting a carbed old school small block in it. Nobody wants to buy it so im gunna cut it up and make it fast.

the problem with selling F-bodies now-a-days is there isnt hardly a market for them. Factor in high mileage, an auto trans, and an early model in the body-style and people act like its a piece of junk. My car being an auto with over 100k means I will never get what i paid for it a couple years ago so im pretty much stuck with it. When I bought mine they were still bringing decent prices, but now they dont seem to be worth near as much. Money is tight I guess. People want clean, low mileage, unmodded, 01-02 models that are M6.

I was going to just buy another trans and put it in the car and sell it but no one want to give what i want and im not giving it away.
Chris, I cant see building my trans for what i can build a bullet proof short block. I have a set of really good heads, stall, and a built trans that was going in the s10 but i sold the truck. There is no way i would rebuild a 5.3, i would just buy a bigger cid block and build it but $$$$$$$$$ is more than im going to spend on a car that i dont want.
Steve you are correct. I have had very good offers on the car from people face to face but when the ask the mileage and year they drop several grand off what they will pay. Again im not giving it away im just going to build a carbed motor and keep it street able just enough to get around town other than that it will be just for racing.
Chris, why not take it to the track? My trans was already messed up. What could have been the worst case? The trans just blow apart and me load it up on a trailer and bring it home. It still shifts fine when just driving but it wont go into 3rd when on the floor.
I still cant believe it went faster with only 2 gears lol.

Its slow as hell lol. It is faster on the street for the simple fact that it hooks like a dream. Outonyou has seen it leave, and it runs good for a bone stock 5.3 with a miss and a trans thats on its last leg.

better get ready to do some major surgery to the cowl area if you want to go with a carb. I have my 98 carbed LS TA and I had to cut the cowl all the way out. You will have to ruin the car for ever to use a carb. I did but I got my car for almost nothing.
Any one know where I can get a smaller style lid for the Procharger? The one we have is too big and still hits the bottom of the windshield.
What do you want for your 5.3/4L60?
