Little wire has to show 12v+ when the key is on to tell the alternator to turn on. I believe its called the exciter wire. Its a direct line to the computer.

I'd go rob one from the junk yard. I'm pretty sure most GM cars have the same connector.
Shouldn't be more than a couple bucks doing it the honest way.

I had my first street "race" this evening in a LONG time. A blue nova with white stripes and big chrome wheels revved at me at a stop light. I destroyed him in my wife's "minivan". Ran from a dig up to about 70mph. He turned off rather than pull up beside me.
Probably see it on Craigslist in the next couple hours.

Nope, he gonna put some NOSSSSSSS on it and smoke you next time.

Seriously, when is the last time you street raced the Z and did you win or lose?

My last race was against Josh R. in Mexico and I lost by about 1 or 1/2.
Second to last race was about 6 months ago to an unknown TA and I won that one, as we approached triple digits on the outskirts of Mexico, I was about to start putting bus lengths on him then we had to shut it down bc of traffic. I think he was stock. Last one before that was too long ago to remember.

Anyone else care to share any?

My last street race was about 10 years ago...I was a 17" big wheel with slicks on the rear. I was up against this old man with his supercharged Scooter....I had the pull of the dig but once his battery went into overdrive he started pulling on me...I would've sucked up the distance but we were in the pasta aisle and we were coming up on the frozen food section in walmart and had to shut it down...

If I ever see him again he's going down!!

Isn't that equivalent to like 3 1/2" or 4"? I'd go to the Depot or Lowe's to see if I could find that size hose and some band clamps. Done!

If you are talking about the wiring harness napa part ec83 will have to cut and solder if it is a stock 85mm type
