Default timing tuner

ok ive got one hooked up through a relay like dave/ray/chris and n20 oulet told me to...

i was dynoing my car at LG motorsports...we made some motor pulls and car did great and smoothe...we FAKED the nitrous was on by giving it 12v, made another pull a few times and it pulled timing(down 30hp, pulling 9 degrees)
then at 6000-6100 its like the timing tuner cut off and it went back to original timing and jumped up 30hp...

anyone have a similar problem? dave can you give me a call???

The timing tuner has a window setting on it. It's likely set at 6100.

If it did that on even a 75 shot, it could destroy a motor... If indeed it is on a window switch, I'd set that for the max RPM, even if that was 10,000.

The nitrous would be on it's own window switch.

Was it on some delay? Maybe the dip switched not off? I was reading thru this (I have one as well, but in line with my Nitro daves WS) and I have not used it cause there was no way to tell if it was pulling timing other then the LED...

Its seeing WOT it still should pull timing till let off the gas.

Do you have the timing tuner wired exactly like this?

there is a start and end setting for the nos. You have the end setting at 6000-6100 thats why the timing jumped.

Not for the N20 activation... RTD (whatever its set to) is activated whenever it gets the reference volt.

That's why it's important to know how it's wired in. If the arming switch is wired to the switched ground, the entire system is shutting down, meaning the timing tuner is turning off when he reaches the upper end of the window.

when my tuner and i found out that the tuner would not show timing being pulled we actually pulled timing from my tune and then used the timing tuner to add timing when i run N/A. this way we dont have to depend on an electrical defice to hopefully pull timing, we know the timing is being pulled and like i said we manually add timing back when not on the juice. you have to keep adjusting the tuner but its extra insurance.

I wired mine like ray has it as well... But, i wired the white wire going to the TT to the white wire arming switch. So, I could see that the LED is coming on while at idle.

I would imagine the guy from full throttle. . Maybe Craig if I remember correctly.

we had some issues way back when, they had to re-do a schematic due to my issues that i had that are now fixed. so, above schematic is correct. Thanks again Ray.
