Default N2O outlet LT1 plate guys, quick question.

Did any of you all have to clearance the iac to fit your throttle body on, with your plate on? I've been trying for the past few hours today to get it on, and it seemed it always couldn't go far enough down because of the iac touching the thermostat. I've clearanced the iac a lot, and it keeps getting a bit closer. I'm afraid to do it anymore though as to break through, and because it mentioned nothing of having to do this in the instructions. I could probably take some off the thermostat housing, but I just wanted to check if anyone else had this happen.

Edit: Also, it's a 52mm plate with stock throttle body and stock intake manifold. if it matters.

I had to clearance mine quite a bit but I have a BBK 58mm and it seems quite a bit larger than the stock TB. I have a few friends with the LT1 plate that have AS&M 58mm TBs and they didn't have to clearance anything.

One thing you could try is using some RTV on the IAC housing instead of the gasket. That might give you a little more clearance too.

in some cases you might have to remove material from the IAC and therm housing.

Thanks Chris. I'm glad to atleast know it might have to be done. I ground off some more of the thermostat housing and iac. I also just got done switching the iac gasket to rtv. It's drying now. So in about thirty mins hopefully this thing will finally go on.

I run a 58MM NO setup and had to clearance both the IAC and T-stat/water pump. I took as much as I could off the water pump / t-stat rather then IAC housing. I also used RTV on the plate to intake side and the gasket on the plate to TB side for a little more clearance.
