2nd stage HP suggestions?

So you want to run 200 hp if I am understanding you correctly. The 150- 50 seems foolish to me. A 50 shot for a second stage I can't imagine giving you much drop in ET. To small of a shot for to little of time. Not if you leave on the 150 and bring the 50 in at 60 ft. Then you would be good with that set up. If you are going with a more traditional 2 stage and running your second stage further down the track the 125 - 75 set up makes more sense to me.
If it were me and traction wasn't a problem I would run the biggest shot out of the hole and add a little more at the 60ft. or so. If you are already running a 150 shot then adding 50 on it just past the starting line you could 2-4 tenths at the end. I think I would make stage two 75 so you can see a real noticeable drop in ET.

I understand that. What I am saying if you don't spray the extra 50 just after you leave the line you will not see much of a gain. 50 hp for half a 1/4 mile won't drop much ET. That is why I am saying either spray it early, or make the stages 125-75.

What can the tire handle?????
always come out on as much spray as you have traction for...... generally you stack units because your car cannot harness all the power on a single stage..... if you have traction to leave on a 200 shot then leave on it....
your jetting for a second stage is whatever is left that your tire cannot harness.... if a 150 is it, then set the 2nd for 50hp and delay it as little as possible to prevent blowing the tires off.....
if you can leave on a 2 hundo and a single stage that will be easily your best ET and MPH....

Then i'm confused as to why you were suggesting drop the first hit down to a 125, just so you could run a "more noticeable" 75 second shot. Or the other guy recommending a 125 shot and then a 100? Doesn't make any sense to me for someone trying to run a quicker time...

don't drop anything down on the 1st stage..... See if you have the fuel system and a proper tuneup to run a total hp hit of like 225.... then split them 150/75 if you have the traction to leave on the 150 alltogether....
if all your fuel system can support is 200 total then do a 150/50..... always leave on as much as you can and bring on the 2nd kit as soon as possible.....
some people leave on smaller hits to get teh car moving and then hit the bigger units a bit out.... i've jetted my car before for 175/225 with the 2nd stage coming on at .5 sec in.... in that .5 the car gets moving and the tire is loaded when the two twump five comes on.... car either top fuels the tires or moves the **** out.....
