Default 250 plate shot and no HP????

Here's a little background on my new setup. It is a forged ls1 with weisco pistons @ 2cc of relief, prc 5.3 heads, 11.5 cr, milled for MS3 cam, my builder degree'd the cam by 2, LS6 intake, pacesetter lt's, TSP true duals, dual gs340's and a nitrous outlet 78mm plate all going through PI 4000 stall and th400.

We first dialed in 150 shot then a 200. We ended up making 550 hp and 710 tq on the 200 at 11.3 afr. We then changed jets to the 250 and dialed in the afr and lost hp. Ended up with something like 540hp and 680tq. What gives? I'm i out flowing my heads and intake?

was the converter built to handle a 250 shot? could be blowing through it.

i had the same setup and made 415 hp through an ss4000 and then 570 hp on a 150 dry kit but never went higher.

My motor can handle a 350 shot, but anything over 200 (795rwhp) it blow's through the converter.

11.3 is rich.
The bigger jets are prolly richer so it dont make no power.

Go back to the 150 or 200 and get the A/F closer to 12.0 and watch it pick up power.
Then work your way back up tot he 250 shot at that A/F, checking plugs along the way.

No your not out flowing your heads.

We did get the afr around 12.0 on the 250 but could not get any power. We did around 3 pulls then I ran out of dyno time.

Well god I hope not. Converter has 400 miles on it and built for way more than that and the trans came from ACE in Tx built for 700+hp.

Was this a full bottle? What was the bottle pressure? If you made several runs on one bottle or if the bottle had air in it.
What was the your timing on the 250 shot?

I hope not for your sake also... i had a vig3600 and 4l60E built to handle 600hp+, I made it to 528hp and couldnt make power past 5500rpm, turned up the boost still couldnt make anymore power! ... turns out the trans was slipping to beat hell!

Clutches and steel burn to hell..

now im running a RMVB th400 and converter that will take anything you can throw at it!

LOOK at MY Post. I have a YANK SS3600 and My dyno didn't make much HP on the dyno and it felt liek it came on hard, then lost some OOOMPH. The PEAK Torque was Solid at 540 but the HP was less than 100 on a 150 Shot.

Can't figure uiti out. Haven't ran on street so maybe it was doing wierd things on the dyno. I don't think it is my converter as it works fine NA, but maybe the extra HP/TQ does do something. Did your dyno graph look at all like mine? I posted it so take a look at it.

I had the same problem awhile back and sent my converter to Coan Racing and they said the only thing good on my converter was the case.

Your car is not making the power it should be on nitrous all the way across the board.

What plug are you using?
What was dialed in airfuel?
What was the timing on each hp setting?
What was bottle pressure?

Tuner didnt save the 250 file on my hp tuners.
AFR was around 12.0 on all these runs
900 psi on all pulls
