Default Has anyone tried these plugs?

I was running an autolite, ar94 but those were still a little to hot, I was gonna switch over to an ar92 but they were not in stock at the time and I wanted to get my car back out for the weekend, so I decided to try
NGK R5724-10 (stock number 7993). They are suppose to be a 4 step colder plug, and they are v notched. I have them gapped at .35 and I am spraying 100hp dry. Just wondering if anyone has had any opinion on them, good or bad.

way too cold of a plug and projected I believe

go with the BR6EF part number 3177, its on step colder, non projected and will work great with your 100 shot. if you step up to 150 go with the BR7EF part number 3346

well the ar94's were to hot, so I fig to be safe I would just try the 4 step colder. I am glazing the plugs. And yes you are correct about it being a projected tip plug.

what motor are you running? compression, heads, etc? You should need anything colder than a heat range 6 or 7 on a 100 shot.

Just a little bit of info, but if you can't find a NGK br7ef at the parts store and need a plug in a hurry, the Autolite 103 is the cross reference for it and Wal-Mart carries them all the time.

stock ls1 with a cam and bolt ons. LT, LS6 intake, slp P+p tb, true duals, no cats, slp lid, k&n, tsp ms4, 42# inj, 25% underdrive, free mods, speed density tune, 350 turbo with 4100 stall w/ trans brake. a/f is good, made about 6 bottle passes on those plugs, and junked out on me and thats why i went with the colder plug. Even if you think the 4 steps colder is too much, I wouldn't want to go no less than say an ar 93 or even the
b8efs. This plug that I found is what is in the sticky up top, thats why I tried it, just have yet to hit the kit. Thats why i was looking for some opinions.

Yup, used to use it back in my Buick Grand National days. Used to use a 104 when I would turn up the wick.

The 8's ( 3 steps colder ) are still to cold a plug for you....I would get a set of the NGK BR7EF ( Stock# 3346 ) and gap them at 34.
